Meet the founder of the Progressive Podiatry Project and MSK Mentor program lead.

Talysha graduated from Western Sydney University (2007) with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) and obtained her Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation from Flinders University in 2015.

Currently Talysha spreads her time between developing & delivering educational content for The Progressive Podiatry Project education platform, academic lecturing & biomechanics clinical supervision at the University of South Australia, clinical content creation for VALD, musculoskeletal clinical practice, injury management consultancy and contributes to the operations of the Podiatry Board of Australia.

She is an extremely passionate, experienced podiatrist, in addition to being a career coach & mentor.
Throughout her career she has gained a wide range of experience in both injury management, clinical rehabilitation and career development.

Having been in practice for 16 years, her particular area of clinical interest has evolved into the assessment and management of complex & chronic musculoskeletal conditions of the lower extremity, with particular focus on their treatment via exercise & movement-based therapies.

As the founder of The Progressive Podiatry Project, Talysha has developed a number of online & live continuing professional development (CPD) courses for allied health professionals, including leading the expansion of the P3 education platform into Japan (P3 Japan).

In addition to her above roles, Talysha is also appointed as a Sessional Academic Lecturer at a number of other Universities throughout Australia, contributing to the education of undergraduate podiatrists in the area of musculoskeletal injury management.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of South Australia (2006) and is a certified Sports Podiatrist (APodA 2017).

He has practiced for 17 years in the field of Sports Podiatry with a primary emphasis on reducing running related injury risk via education on training, recovery, strength & conditioning, biomechanics, neuromuscular re-education and footwear selection.

Currently, he is lead podiatrist at the Sports and Arthritis Clinic (SPARC) in Adelaide, South Australia.

Michael has competed in athletics for over 2 decades, and now continues to work in athletics via coaching middle-long distance runners (Level II Advanced MD/LD coach - Athletics Australia) at the Adelaide University Athletics Club and head coach of the Adelaide Milers Crew.

Michael has also been involved in research exploring the training characteristics of elite and recreational runners and the association with performance and sustainability, along with investigating training pace/critical pace and track running performance prediction.

Michael is a co-host of the monthly Shoe Geeks Podcast via the Inside Running Podcast with fellow runners/shoe geeks Julian Spence (The Running Company - Geelong) & Thomas Do Canto (Pinnacle Sports Podiatry).

James is an accomplished musculoskeletal podiatrist and clinical educator, graduating with a Bachelor of Podiatry degree from La Trobe University (2011).

Since obtaining his bachelor degree James has developed a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal podiatry, founding his clinic, My Sports Podiatrist in 2018.

Andrew is an accomplished, experienced and dedicated podiatrist with specialist registration as a Podiatric Surgeon.

Andrew has a very broad and varied career in the 42 years since his graduation in 1981.

After a period at Flinders Medical Centre (Adelaide, South Australia) he started his surgical training gaining his Fellowship of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and endorsement for scheduled medicines in 1995.
He also obtained numerous fellowships with a number of prestigious institutions from around the world (listed below).

In addition to his extensive clinical work, Andrew has previously helped develop education curriculums and lectured in postgraduate courses including surgery, paediatrics, advanced biomechanics, advanced podiatric medicine and sports medicine.

He has lectured in Japan extensively since 1995 and continues to do so annually.
Other work overseas includes developing a program for the early intervention and treatment of clubfoot in Vietnam.

He has been accredited at various private hospitals and held a public hospital position as a Visiting Podiatric Surgeon at the Repatriation General Hospital from 2002 – 2010.

Other professional activities have included state and national president of the Australian Podiatry Association, chairperson of the Podiatrist’s Registration Board of South Australia, Trustee of the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, chairman of the Australian Podiatry Education and Research
Foundation, council member of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and numerous other professional committees and boards. Andrew is currently consulting and operating in his private practice, My Foot Surgeon in both South Australia, and Northern
Territory.

He provides lectures and clinical supervision at the University of South Australia and has been offered an adjunct position at Queensland University of Technology.

Outside of podiatry Andrew has been a dedicated runner having completed in the New York and Paris Marathons and many local events. Sailing is his main sport participating in multiple Sydney Hobarts, The Fastnet Race in the UK, national and international regattas.

Andrew is a keen supporter of the Arts and has a high level of engagement through his wife who is the CEO of Restless Dance Theatre.
